The regulation of tariffs of the access to electronic communications services, which are essential for society, is of great importance to ensure effective and sustainable competition in the market and for the protection of consumer rights. In this context, retail tariffs are regulated, monitored and audited within the framework of the Electronic Communications Law (ECL), Tariff By-Law, Concession Agreements and other relevant legislation by the Authority.

The ECL draws the legal framework to be followed by the Authority regarding the regulation of tariffs and includes the principles to be followed by the operators in determining their tariffs. Tariffs as an important element of electronic communications services are determined by the operators within the commercial freedom under the rules set by the Authority within the relevant legislation.
